Privacy Policy

SeoulMal works without an account. We do not collect, sell, or share personal information for advertising, and the app contains no advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.

What we collect

The app never asks for your name, email, or other personal details. To fix bugs and see which parts of the course are used, it sends a small number of anonymous usage events (for example “a step was finished”) tagged with a random identifier made on install, the app version and the OS version. This identifier stays on the device, is not linked to you or your Apple Account, is not used for tracking or advertising, and matches the App Store privacy label.

If you share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings, the app also sends the crash and performance reports Apple’s MetricKit gives it — with the app version and device model, not tied to that identifier.

Voices

The first time you play a line, the app asks our voice server to read that line of the course aloud. The request carries only the line’s text and which voice should read it; the sound is then kept on your device, so replays do not go back to the server.

Your progress and credits

Your progress is saved on your device and, when you are signed in to iCloud, in your own iCloud storage so it carries across your devices. That storage belongs to your Apple Account — we cannot read it. Line credits are kept on the device only (in its Keychain) and are not synced.

Feedback

If you write to us with Send feedback in Settings, the message is kept for up to 90 days so we can read it and reply inside the app. It is tagged only with the same random identifier — no email or name. If you allow notifications, the app tells you when a reply arrives.

Purchases

Seoul Pass and line packs are bought and handled by Apple. We receive no payment details.

This website

seoulmal.com counts anonymous page visits and App Store button taps with a random number made fresh for each visit. No cookies, no accounts, no IP addresses kept.

Children

SeoulMal is for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Purchases go through Apple, with Ask to Buy.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app grows; material changes appear here with a new effective date.
